Number 118. Beverly Hills Cop 2
nowhere near as good as the first film but still an entertaining watch even if the buddy routine with the three main starts is starting to wear a little thin
Number 119. Rock Star
effectively the judas priest/ripper owens story brought to life.
interesting....slightly
entetaining....definately
but the real star of the show is defo the great 80`s hair metal inspired tunes that steel dragon are apparently famour for!
Number 120. Ice Age:The Meltdown
having not seen the first one i cant really compare it to its predecessor but what i can say is it made me giggle, the characters are involving and interesting, the script is sharp and punchy and the animation is very slick.
Number 121. Little Miss Sunshine
blinding. the simple story of a very disfunctional family and their trip across america to get to a child beauty pageant is wonderfully darkly comic.
the acting by everyone involved in this film is universally exceptional, add to it the monstrous list of accolades and for once its not just me singing the praises of a film i have seen!!!
Number 122. Gingerdead Man 2
oh dear god this film was terrible, a horrendously stupid plot (even for a horror film) performed by terrible actors with apparent knowing nods to its own terribleness do not excuse its awful low budget execution.
that a third film was even suggested at its conclusion was the most terrifying thing about this turgid stinking pile of garbage.
Number 123. Spy Kids 3:Game Over
the weakest in the spy kids franchise so far ( with the fourth due to arrive later this year we shall have to wait and see if the law of diminishing returns rings true for this franchise as well) is still a very watchable sci fi spy action adventure that both parents and children can enjoy.
the kids with the obvious bright colours, bonkers special FX and easy to digest plot and for the parents the seemingly never ending list of cameo appearances from great hollywood legends as the film progresses.
its story is quite frankly ridiculous, but considering that david cronenbourg did something very similar (albeit much more convoluted) with eXisTenZ maybe for simplifying it for children to understand rodriguez shouldnt be too heavily critisised.
