return to form, 2 Aug 2008 the california punk scene would be a dull place without these boys and after they went off the boil with a couple of safe and by their standards quite dull albums they have gone back to the glory days of four chords played fast with woah ohhhs all over the shop the good the song variety is as staggering as it is surprising veering between the lightening speed of da hui to the AFI clone of race against myself and the token ska funk out of the worst hangover ever the guitar sound is great dexters voice sounds the best it has for a long time the bad very little if any at all the main problem is that they aren't doing anything new but what they are doing they are now doing brilliantly again
